Your Mother, Nature
When you were born the color of the world was changed,
you lit up the night sky, added one more star to it...
You went through life twinkling, both on ground and up in the sky,
You were a star light they could not deny, that could not be hidden.
And I must applaud you, despite all you went through, you let your light shine, that is no easy task
You let the greatness in you out,
You let the song in you flow out, be heard,
You danced to the music of the universe and added meaning to the word Joy.
You were and still are, everything light is,
Everything pure is,
Everything free is,
Everything sweet is,
I'm glad that the world never succeeded in tainting you.
Tonight they put you back in my arms
You come back to me more...beautiful,
More refined, more made, A finished product than I made you
What more could a mother want?
Rest now baby, the world's passed on, never mind that they say it's you who's passed on.
